GUI

• The review GUI has been updated and prevents duplicate model loading. (PR App designer for review #755)
• Long channel descriptions in pspm_display are displayed on multiple lines. (PR 804 pspm display #838)
• Text-file import in the batch interface now supports delimiter selection and files with arbitrary extensions. (PR Add delimiter selection and show all files(fileselector) to the Batch… #850)
• The DCM review figure layout and labelling have been improved. (PR 839 pspm review figure fix #885)

New Features

• A new BIDS importer has been introduced and substantially expanded to import BIDS-formatted datasets into PsPM. (PR 660 pspm import bids #790, Major overhaul bids importer #901)
• A new standard pipeline for fear-conditioned skin conductance response (SCR) analysis has been introduced. (PR New fear-conditioned SCR pipeline #880, Refactor pspm_pipeline_fc_scr API and improve usability #897)

• pspm_pupil_pp

  • Pupil data in supported non-mm units are automatically converted to millimetres before preprocessing. (PR 822 pspm pupil pp unit check #836)

• pspm_scr_pp

  • Clipping window and step-size options are now specified in seconds. (PR clipping_window_size and clipping_step_size in seconds in pspm_scr_pp #872)

• pspm_pull_zenodo

  • Dataset download handling has been generalised. (PR generalise pspm_pull_zenodo to work with all PsPM data sets #871)

• pspm_load_data

  • Non-event channel data are automatically converted to double precision when loaded. (PR pspm_load_data converts single data to double #883)

• Pupil correction

  • pspm_pupil_correct now accepts a PsPM file or data structure and loads the required pupil and gaze channels internally. (PR Updates to pspm_pupil_correct_eyelink and pspm_pupil_correct #890)
  • pspm_pupil_correct_eyelink now checks that gaze data are provided in millimetres and otherwise instructs the user to convert them with pspm_convert_gaze. (PR Updates to pspm_pupil_correct_eyelink and pspm_pupil_correct #890)

• Cardiac preprocessing

  • Direct ECG-to-heart-period conversion has been added as an option to the batch interface. (PR Updates to pspm_pupil_correct_eyelink and pspm_pupil_correct #890)

• pspm_ledalab

  • Custom Ledalab optimisation, export and additional input arguments can now be specified. (PR allows custom input options #895)

• Non-linear SCR modelling

  • Flexible-response dispersion handling and model defaults have been updated. (PR Non-linear model defaults #900)

• pspm_get_acqmat

  • The AcqKnowledge import function now supports segmented MAT files with non-zero recording offsets. (PR Support segmented AcqKnowledge imports #910)

• DCM

  • Warnings now identify trials that could not be estimated and indicate when NaN values are omitted from condition-level statistics. (PR Warning for undetermined trials  #911)

• NaN handling

  • Legacy NaN-handling functions have been replaced with MATLAB's omitnan syntax. (PR replace nan-functions (copy) #870, FIX: use omitnan [#875] #879, nanmean -> mean( ,'omitnan') #893)

• BIDS importer

  • Fixed output-path and metadata handling. (PR FIX: improve output path and store metadata [#873] #877)
  • Fixed the gaze-channel range header field. (PR FIX: ensure .range field is populated [#874] #878)

• pspm_logical2epochs

  • Fixed handling of epochs extending to the final sample of a logical vector. (PR epochs edgecase fix in pspm_logical2epochs and more test #853)

• pspm_scr_pp

  • Fixed the variable name stored in missing-epoch output files. (PR correct variable name in pspm_scr_pp output #855)
  • Fixed the clipping-filter logic. (PR clipping_window_size and clipping_step_size in seconds in pspm_scr_pp #872)

• AcqKnowledge import

  • Fixed Python/bioread import handling and sampling-rate processing. (PR Fix bioread acknowledge import #864, General bug fixes #920)

• pspm_get_smr
